Choosing the Path of Joy
“Joy is an attitude; it is the presence of love – for self and others. It comes from a feeling of inner peace, the ability to give and receive, and appreciation of the self and others. It is a state of gratitude and compassion, a feeling of connection to your higher self.”Orin

Joy is a spiritual quality. It comes from knowing and being in touch with self within. When you take charge of yourself and affirm that you are a unique and valuable person, everyone will affirm that back to you.

There is a belief that outer world is more important than the inner world. There is a mass belief in scarcity, hardship, lack, limitations and much more. There is competition, power struggles and overwhelming feeling of not having enough. There is tremendous guilt in our society.  Many relationships and connections to others come from solar plexus, the power center from which people try to persuade, convince, control and manipulate each other.

When we act this way we are not being loving to ourselves. Every time we judge we separate ourselves. Self- Love also involves humility, which is a self-expression from the heart and not from the ego.

The Eternal Flow

Because our energy acts like a magnet, knowingly or unknowingly we constantly attract events, people, situations and circumstances in our life to match that vibration. So raising our vibrations to activate greater balance, clarity and self mastery is the key. Our Heart center (fourth chakra in the chakra system) is the center of “God/Higher consciousness”. Love, joy, gratitude, appreciation, kindness, compassion and selfless acts of giving come from the balanced heart center.

So if we are not flowing with these emotions we are not in the flow of Universal abundance, joy and prosperity. We must consciously learn to channel our emotions to devotions, and passion to compassion. We must heal our negative emotions to feel more joy in our lives and thus keep the channel of universal abundance, joy and prosperity open.

“To live is to love, to love is to give, to give is to have love.”Yogi Bhajan
